Where is morgan monroe guitars made

Frank , December 19, in Acoustic Guitars. I looked on their web site and didn't find anything. I've e-mailed em' with the SN so hopefully they'll know but if there's an online deal where I can type in the SN and get the date of manufacture that'd be great.

SN but I don't think it ties in with the date of manufacture like a Takamine would. I wonder if there's a date on where the neck joins the body of the guitar, I'm going to go look.

If I had to hazard a guess based on the Serial I'd say it was made in from the first two digits. My string is just the opposite: Instead of a serial it has the year of manufacture. So it'd be the rd guitar made in ? I may have to check one out, because the specs seem really good for the money. I've never heard of them. Their site doesn't include any information on the company history or where they are located.

Either an oversight or they want to remain vague for fear of looking weak against stronger competitors. Looks like it could be a nice instrument though. Man, that thing better be REAL nice. Even Korean, that seems like a lot to me. Have you checked out Alvarez? They make really good sounding acoustics for the money, IMO. Chihlidog , Feb 12, A few of our local shops carry them. The ones have played have seemed like really good guitars for the price.

I finally had it set-up at guitar center -- didn't solve intonation. I researched set-ups and determined that guitar center tech must not have been very good -- took it elsewhere, they adjusted the nut lower, but said the saddle had been lowered too far by previous tech, so some buzzing would occur higher up the neck -- I figured I'd adjust it later myself with a matchstick, or spend the extra money on a new saddle money is tight -- Regardless, intonation problem is gone, and this guitar sings.

I'm quite surprised -- it has gone from being a frustrating guitar that I knew had potential from the projection, to being a real beauty. From what I've seen online, factory setup is not consistent, but they guitars, when you get a good one, do sing. But I have an electric MM, which I think is odd as they make mainly acoustic. I cant find anything about them on the web. Its a copy and I got it from Craigs list and John Eppstein. My Studio. I wasn't expecting much for the price I paid and was totally blown away when it arrived.

Checked out their website and it was listing for more that twice what I paid, and I would have considered that completely fair - it's really sweet. We've used it on a couple recordings so far, it records beautifully. But still - it's a hell of a lot better instrument than similar ones I've seen from big name brands like Fender and Gretsch that cost a lot more.

I've got lookers all around me wanting to just strum it, but no way jose'! Thanks everyone for awesome reviews about Morgan Monroe!! I give the MM a thumbs up, as i didnt have a preconcieved notion of name brand or specific quallifiers other than sound right, when you play something for enjoyment it shouldnt matter what it appears to be, it should shoot you in the ass and be a no brainer Hey there!

I'm an endorsing artist for Morgan Monroe. I was like yeah on you got my attention lol. So he tells me that he was the owner of Morgan Monroe fine stringed instruments. At first I was thinking to myself, damn man I've played one a few years back and didn't like them and he then began to tell me that he had recently bought the company and completely overhauled not only the designs but, the quality as well.

So I said ok I'll bite. I only ever played Gibson's, Martin's, and takamine guitars. Since the day I sober on with them, Morgan Monroe are all I play. Let's face it. Gibson's and Martin's and Taylor's sound great unplugged, but, when you plug in, that's a whole other story. These sound great unplugged and they sound just as good if not better plugged in.

Their new line of acoustic-electrics even come with built in tuners. As many of you know, this is not an entirely new mandolin, but instead a new color option for players that prefer a more organic look. This is based on the popular KM Oval hole mandolin.

Mandolin Pickup. We are always being asked what the best mandolin pickup is. Being familiar with these and having installed hundreds over the years, a few have risen to the top. All three of these recommendations are passive pickups. While there are several other good options, these should be at the top of your list. Electric Mandolin. The main reason you are going to buy an Ovation mandolin is obviously the pickup.
